XWARN, like many other amateur radio clubs, provides communications services to the public at no charge. These services include
- Weather Spotting and Reporting
- Radio services for public events such as marathons and 5Ks. We typically are the lead amateur radio club for the Xenia Marathon, Young’s Ice Cream Charity Bike Tour, and Beavercreek Resolution Run. But we also support other public events in the area.
- Local agency and emergency communication services primarily for the City of Xenia but also other surrounding areas as needed
XWARN has a communications trailer that can support any of these services and limited space for event or public officials to co-locate.
