Hopefully, this will build a little interest and encourage volunteers to join. The 2023 running took place on Saturday, September 16. The US Air Force was created on September 18, 1947, and each year, the race date is set on the Saturday closest to the birthday. On this date, people within a 124-mile-wide band in the state of Ohio will experience a total solar eclipse.
