Meeting Cancelation January 11, 2021
We have decided to cancel the XWARN meeting that was scheduled to beheld this coming Monday, January 11. Instead, we will have a short net on the 147.165 (123.0) repeater,beginning at 7:30 PM. There are many among our group that do not wish to have social contactand the College Football Championship game takes place at 8:00PM, so weexpect that the turn-out would be very very light. FCC Reduces Proposed Amateur Radio Application Fee to $35
12/30/2020The FCC has agreed with ARRL and other commenters that its proposed $50 fee for certain amateur radio applications was “too high to account for the minimal staff involvement in these applications.” In a Report and Order (R&O), released on December 29, the FCC scaled back to $35 the fee for a new license application, a special temporary authority (STA) request, a rule waiver request, a license renewal application, and a vanity call sign application.
