2023 SPOTTER TRAINING SCHEDULE

Link: https://www.weather.gov/iln/spottertrainingschedule Classes are free and open to the public. Virtual classes require registration via the links provided in each course description. In-person classes require registration only if specified.Each class lasts about 2 hours and is led by a National Weather Service meteorologist, who will discuss techniques and safety for severe weather spotting. Once you attend a class, you will receive instructions for registering to officially become a trained spotter. You will then be able to report severe weather to your NWS office. No Meeting/Party December 12

Information for members who were not present at the November meeting and reminder to members that were — Due to unforeseen circumstances, we will not be able to hold the Christmas party or regular meeting on Monday December 12th. No officers, new or old, and a fair chunk of regular members are not able to be present on Monday December 12th. After presenting suggestions, the membership voted to change the Christmas party to a New Year’s party and be held on the regularly scheduled January meeting day – Monday January 9th. Once again, no one will meet on December 12th….
