2021 Air Force Marathon Volunteer Update

Dear Volunteers, As you may or may not have heard yet, the 25th Air Force Marathon in-person event has been cancelled and will now be held as a virtual event. As one of our volunteers and supporters, we wanted to reach out directly and thank you for supporting our event over the last 25 years. Our team was very much looking forward to celebrating our 25th Anniversary with all of you in-person this year and we understand that this is disappointing news for all, our team included. Youngs Dairy Bike Tour

It’s time again to seek volunteers for the Young’s Dairy Charity Bike Tour that will be on Saturday, September 11th. The ONE day tour covers several Ohio counties, comprising up to 100 miles, so a large number of ham radio operators will be needed. The tour starts at 8:00 AM on Saturday from Young’s Dairy, which is on Highway 68, north of Yellow Springs, and extends north to Bellefontaine Ohio and then returns back to Youngs Dairy. Xenia Marathon

Postponed due to COVID-19 Corona virus On Sunday April 5th  is the  Annual Ohio River Road Runners Club Full and Half Marathons.  Both events begin at 8:00am  at the NEW Xenia YMCA at 336 South Progress Dr in Xenia. The event winds around Xenia and then follows the bike path to Spring Valley and then comes back.  We will be needing 15-20 volunteers. Also bicycle-mobile operators would be helpful. Checkin/Net Control will be at the XWARN Communications Trailer, which will be setup at the YMCA starting at 6:30am, we will making assignments starting at 7:00am.   A directed Net will be…

Resolution Run

Reminder that the Resolution Run is Tuesday, December 31. 15 of you have confirmed that you will be there and I will send further information in a few days. Also, five of you have volunteered to help tow the generator lights out onto the course and retrieve them after the event. Again, I’ll send a note to you in a few days.
