To join the GCARES Winlink Net, just send a Winlink message to W8LRJ using a local Winlink RMS gateway such as the GCARES gateway at W8GCA-10 445.010 MHz simplex, an HF gateway, or via Winlink Telnet any time on Tuesdays between 6 am and 9 pm. All messages will be acknowledged the next day. Note there is another Winlink gateway at W6CDR-10 145.010 MHz simplex with coverage over most of the Miami Valley. You can learn about Winlink and download the free software here.

You do not need to be a member of any local or national organization or live in Greene County to participate.

The meeting in September occurs the Friday AFTER Labor Day.

On Sunday April 3rd  is the  Annual Ohio River Road Runners Club Full and Half Marathons.

Both events begin at 8:00am at the NEW Xenia YMCA at 336 South Progress Dr in Xenia.

The event winds around Xenia and then follows the bike path to Spring Valley and then comes back.
We will be needing 15-20 volunteers. Also bicycle-mobile operators would be helpful. 
Checkin/Net Control will be at the XWARN Communications Trailer, which will be setup at the YMCA starting at 6:30am.
A directed Net will be held on the 147.165 repeater(123Hz PL).
Please come out and help out with this first large event for the year!
