ARRLField Day is ham radio’s open house. Every June, more than 31,000 hams throughout North America set up temporary transmitting stations in public places to demonstrate ham radio’s science, skill and service to our communities and our nation. It combines public service, emergency preparedness, community outreach, and technical skills all in a single event. Field Day has been an annual event since 1933, and remains the most popular event in ham radio. Happy We survived Hamvention! But seriously, the t-shirt sale went amazing. We sold out…and very rapidly. Size medium was gone early on the first day! Everything else was sold out by the end of Saturday. Yes, you read that correctly…EVERYTHING. I am estimating at least 100 people wanted to buy a t-shirt after they were gone. It’s time to order more. Hamvention is all done and now it is time for Field Day!! It is coming up soon and we will be doing our normal place at BTFD Station 61.
