Hello XWARN! 2025 seems to be flying by! The time has changed, and Spring is about to become upon us. We start off a busy event season with the Xenia Marathon. Hope to see lots of you working that on April 6th. Hamven-tion t-shirts are being prepared. Please don’t forget that this is our major source of funding. We need everyone to sign up for at least a 2-hour shift. Before we know it, Hamvention will be here! With Spring comes storms. Xenia Marathon

More eyes and more communications are always good. In addition to spotters at designated places, we can use several bicycle mobiles to patrol the course and to track the tail ends. NWS 2025 Spotter Training

National Weather Service Link Classes are free and open to the public. Virtual classes require registration via the links provided in each course description. In-person classes require registration only if specified. Each class lasts about 2 hours and is led by a National Weather Service meteorologist, who will discuss techniques and safety for severe weather spotting. Once you attend a class, you will receive instructions for registering to officially become a trained spotter. You will then be able to report severe weather to your NWS office.
